Torri Trapp

How did you get involved in the mortgage industry?
I started my banking career in 2010 which was focused more on the customer service side.  As I developed my skills and completed my education, I realized I wanted to be a lender. I took my current role as a primary consumer lender.  By assisting my manager with additional tasks, I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge in the mortgage industry!

What is the biggest challenge or opportunity you have seen in the mortgage industry?
The biggest challenge is staying on top of the ongoing regulation changes without it impacting  the borrower or realtor’s  relationship.  The biggest opportunity is to have the ability to form new relationships and be a part of a special day for our borrowers!

What advice would you give people just entering the industry?
You won’t know everything at once- it takes time!

When you are not at work, what do you like to do most?
I enjoy classic car cruises, working out at Orange Theory Fitness, socializing at networking events and spending time with friends and family.

What is a quote or a guiding principle you live by?
“Treat people how you want to be treated”- my father, Brian Trapp.
