How did you get involved in the mortgage industry?
I started originating mortgages July 2001, but was in banking since 1993.

What is the biggest challenge or opportunity you have seen in the mortgage industry?
There is never a dull moment, each deal has its own unique challenges and thrills.

What advice would you give people just entering the industry?
Get involved within the community to work referral sources, learn the guides, deliver excellent customer service and have empathy.

When you are not at work, what do you like to do most?
Enjoy the outside as long as it is above 70 degrees.

What is a quote or a guiding principle you live by?
In mortgage, I strive to educate the borrower as I go along, I bought my house before in the mortgage industry and walked away feeling confused and frustrated. If they are first time buyers or repeat buyers, I always make sure to let them know no question is stupid, please ask. I don’t want anyone to feel the way I did the first time going around.
