How did you get involved in the mortgage industry?
I had a previous employee & friend suggest that I leave the retail athletic sports industry for the mortgage industry. Now he is my current Manager.

What is the biggest challenge or opportunity you have seen in the mortgage industry?
The biggest challenge/ opportunity is staying on top of the latest technology and changing program guidelines.

What advice would you give people just entering the industry?
My advice to people entering the industry is to bring value and service to your partners and clients.

Do you have a quick tip for saving time, generating leads, tracking information, etc. that you would like to share?
Budget your time for sales calls and marketing and maintain your client & referral database in detail.

When you are not at work, what do you like to do most?
My favorite things to do when I am not at work is watch my daughter in all her activities.  Then I like watching Hawkeye football, collecting antiques, running and racquetball.

Treat everyone like family. Treat others the way that you would want to be treated.
